Live music is ramping up for the summer, and I'm so excited to announce some new events coming up over the next few months!
First of all... this weekend I'll be at the new Valley Cigar & Wine Co. in Waynesville on Friday at 4 PM! Saturday at 7 PM, Jennifer and I play a duo show at Southern Appalachian Brewing in Hendersonville. These are both FREE events - come hang out with us!
Darren Nicholson Band rides again the following weekend! On Saturday, June 5th, we'll be at Frog Level Brewing in Waynesville, and on Sunday the 6th we'll be at Isis Music Hall in West Asheville.
And I'm excited to announce a special event at the Meadowlark Motel in Maggie Valley, NC on July 17th! It's a day of workshops ending with an all-star concert. I'll be joined by the great Audie Blaylock on guitar and vocals, along with the king of Jimmy Martin style banjo, Eric Ellis, and the supremely talented Reed Jones anchoring the rhythm section on bass.
Sit in on seminars on Saturday afternoon to help you hone your skills or just a chance to watch and listen! Saturday night we'll join together for an All-Star concert right along the banks of beautiful Jonathan Creek at the Meadowlark Motel!
Here is the schedule of events: 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM: ALL STAR BAND CAMP WITH DARREN, AUDIE, ERIC AND REED. 4:00 PM - 5 PM: SONGWRITING WORKSHOP WITH DARREN AND FRIENDS 5:00 PM - 5:45 PM: INSTRUMENTAL WORKSHOPS WITH REED ON BASS, DARREN ON MANDOLIN, AUDIE ON GUITAR AND ERIC ON BANJO 5:45 PM- 8:00 PM: SUPPER BREAK 8:30 PM - 9:45 PM: ALL-STAR CONCERT, DARREN NICHOLSON AND FRIENDS 9:45-10:00 PM: AUTOGRAPH SESSION 10:00 PM: EVENT ENDS
Motel guests can attend the concert for free and attend seminars for 1/2 price--20 dollars per session or 50 dollars for total package.
Workshop guests NOT staying at Motel pay 40 dollars per seminar or 100 dollars for package.
Individual concert tickets for non-guests are 20 dollars, free admission for Motel guests.
